I want to know what (In your opinion) is the best tool for digging?
This might be for hinged plugs and T holes.

lesche: www.puiakisupply.co.nz

Hi LKD personally for me it's the Lesche, good all rounder and bullet proof. Having said that I haven't any experience with the knife types but they do appear to be well suited to park type conditions providing it's not too dry, in which case should be off limits anyway.
Im sure some others will have some suggestions.
How's the hunting going for you up there?

Personally, I prefer the Lesche style, feeling it's less likely to unnerve passers by than what they may perceive as a 'blade'

Other than that, both are probably about the same in terms of cutting plugs, slots, string and gutting wild boar.

Fair comment Mud however I have found that I tend to carry my pinpointer nestled in the curve of the blade
in my left hand when in parks which negates the visible "blade" issue. It also comes with a belt holster.

Yeah, I like the design and price of the digging knife. I just wanted to see others opinion as well.

Hi Iggy,
I haven't been able to go out detecting that much but I might be getting a new detector soon so might be able to get out and about more when I get that!

The detect nz field knife is a very useful knife for camping and in the bush too. Strong enough to split kindling and other camp tasks. I now carry it tramping instead of my bowie knife as its a lot lighter.
can't comment on the lesche as I have never used one but people who have used them seem to be fans.
