This large padlock popped out of the mudflats today.
Anyone know if it has any age?

The ring looks like silver but is not.

Yes 267.7 grams of brass just sitting in the mud. Might have been off
a mooring perhaps.

I'd agree with Mudwiggles estimate, its over 50 years old.
Looks as if its off a trunk - keep looking there might be a treasure chest nearby! :)
