hi
im looking for some new country for a hunting trip im from down southland wana get away for a over night tramp was thinking somewhere up skippers be nice for a look, thought you guys might let me onto some local knowledge where deer numbers are good , dont worry im not after your precious gold just want to explore some new hills for a deer, looked on google and thought 16 mile creek looked ok how far up skippers can u get a 4wd without being rough any pointer?

Check with Doc, think they have a white tail problem up Caples Area, will need a permit, but should be good hunting up there, specially Kat Creek area. As for 16 mile, Branches Station is managed by kiwis on behalf of out of town investors, may bi difficult getting permission to get up there.
