Anyone got any tips for patching split dredge hoses while bush?

My dredge is 2nd hand so hose is a bit old, but failed in multiple places last mission. I must have abused it a little too much getting it in that time!

I managed to limp it along using gaffer tape and zip ties. Just wondering what other quick fixes other people have come up with when it happens to them?

Cut it and put a 4" tube inside of it then tighten with hose clamps should work ? Just remember to clean it out now and again to get the gold stuck in the hose lol

Slip a short length of car inner tube over it and hose clip it.

I use 1.5" wide insulation tape and wrap around and around and around, works as good as new. It fits snugly in all the grooves and stretches to the contour of the hose. Infact this is my tape of choice for most running repairs.

Some good options - cheers guys (apart from you element111 :P ). Insulation tape sounds easiest to have on hand, think I might start taking a roll in with me!

Fill the hollow on the outside with silicone then wrap with duct tape
