Wow that tool works.
Was it all from one crevice?

WOW that is impressive. Well done. Is it a hack saw blade or a jig saw blade.

Well done digger. That is a new slant on an old idea. No wonder you can shout yourself a new wet suit.

Thanks for sharing such an awesome tip!

So was the crevice next to some depression, or raised above the bed rock so you could scrape the gold out sideways to collect as it fell?

Love the idea - its a cracker. We used bend spring steel but your idea is an excellent one and I shall try it myself but with a length of band saw blade.

MMmmm....ok....how about a saber saw blade?? I have some pretty long ones of those & some with some pretty aggresive teeth.

The crevice is about 2mm wide x about 600mm long x 150mm deepish.... needs a bit more scraping.
I found the crevice at the side of a river and guessing the old miners must have missed it or didn't have such a tool to clean it out....

The crevice cleaning tool was made from a 0.75mm thick x 300mm long hacksaw blade I got the angle grinder onto it and cut bigger slots/teeth.
I also have made a bigger tool using a reciprocating saw blade its about 2mm thick x 300mm long.
