Hi all

Am living wanganui and want to get into detecting. I have used a few detectors before in South Africa and need some help selecting a detector to purchase. we have the major issue of black sand around this area and i have accepted the fact that i wont be able to go beach detecting but obviosly in the surrounding town farmland etc there is small amounts of iron sand within the soils etc. I have heard that the best detectors for combating this are Pulse induction detectors but i am relluctant to buy a $4000, heavy, power hungry machine for recreational detecting I have considered the AT pro but just dont know enough to make a truly informed decission........any help on this mater would be awsome theres no substitute for experience
