Hi Guys,
I am upgrading from my AT Pro to a ctx3030 around Christmas. I intend to hunt Beaches and parks with it and was wondering if I could get any tips from the experienced users about the machine.

There is some kind words of wisdom from some more experienced members early in my finds thread-. Stuff westiedigger dug.
Most important is to turn on target trace.
Then hit your most thrashed , cleaned out spot in the preprogrammed coins or silver mode.
Then be amazed by all the old coins you dig up that you have walked over many times before...
Beyond that I am still learning but I can assure you that you won't be disappointed by the ctx3030.
I have theory that all the people who say "nah it sucks" are secretly afraid someone else in there area will get one. ...

Congrats on your CTX.

Best advice I could give you is to purchase Andy Sabisch's book " The CTX3030 Hand Book". It's only been out about 3 months but well worth the money. Believe me you won't regret it.

Can be picked up on ebay etc. Mine costs about NZ$80 landed but shop around. 190 pages (A4) jammed packed with info.

PM me if you are stuck on anything and I may be able to help. "The Hatter" has got his head around it also.
