I've just discovered if I put a little perpendicular pressure on the stem of my pointer, lifting the side of a slit-hole, will cause the pointer to beep.

Something to keep in mind, let me know if this also happens for you, and what pointer brand you experimented with?

What do you use? I use an old technique with a hook which you position in areas and pull and it works like a pin pointer because the tip will change colour as you get towards metal (copper- green etc.) but I am getting a pin pointer soon so what do you recommend?
