Hope the link works. I like the bit in 1999 where the U.K's chancellor of the exchequer sold 395 tonnes, thinking it was a good idea to sell at the lowest price gold had been in ages! He got $276.6 an ounce.

Why sell when its the lowest? That makes no sense. Guess i have to go read the article :)
