So lets say you find a gold ring with stones in it. Do any of you guys know of anyone who might be interested in purchasing said stones? The gold buyers out there don't pay out for stones as far as I know. Obviously its quite a tricky subject as stones rely on slightly more complex factors than just weight and purity for value.

I would say if it is an old ring or piece of jewelry you will get more for the stones, in particular if it is old diamonds or a stone not mined any more. If you can date the ring it will most likely be worth way more than scrap.
