To All you guys and Yes Snowdrop you too. So girls too

That show your finds on this place in Paydirt. Keep it up. I know you don't get a lot of feedback. But I reckon this would be the most read forum. I could reply to every post saying great finds, but that would become repetitive and mean little. I guess I could do likes, but that too could be just an easy way out. So I thank you all personally. It takes time to post pics and write the storys. Ok you are all a bunch of skites lol.
Na just kidding. I am inspired by you all, your dedication to the sport of detecting, your perseverance, your never give up attitude. And to the effort you all put into your hunts. Well done all of you. I shall stand and clap. Keep up the great work, keep posting and through that we almost share the hunt with you. And that is what it is all about.

Hopefully soon there will be a Hatters Page. Working on that.

All the Best to the lot of you.

Cheers Trev aka " The Hatter"

Awesome stuff mate. Part of the fun of the hunt, is the post-hunt show and tell. If people wish to comment, all good but as you said, too many "great finds man" can become repetitive and meaningless. I used to reply to every post in this section once upon a time but for the very reasons you outlined, I now pick and choose my replies.
As far as regular posting goes, I for one will continue to do so...again for reasons outlined by you.....the biggest one being skite value...nah, just kidding...the biggest and most important one being motivation and inspiration for others, as I received from the likes of Tonznz, Poohbear, Foiled again, and others when I first started hunting.
If you and Chrispy want some company on a hunt some time, please let me know. I'd be keen for a weekend roadie to the Coast...and of course, to meet international man of mystery...aka... "the Hatter" in person...lol.

Cheers No8.

Cheers Trev -

To those of you like me who dont post pictures - I am sure the same applies

Keep up the good work and dont be bullied out of the hobby by idiots

Fine tune your recovery methods, offer free services and advice and most of all, keep the passion going -

Nice post Hatter as I feel exactly the same regerding those that do post pics

Another point to mention is that I saw a members post a month or so back asking members on how to post pics & they didnt get a response from anyone (including me as I too am a little unsure) so perhaps that may be a reason why some dont post pictures - If its easy to do, forgive me - I just havent looked into that much yet

Frig I am thanking you guys. And then you thank me back. What a great bunch of people we have on here. Frig I shall have to stand up and clap again.

Right you wirey person, normally found on fences. Today I went to the Doctors for lung function tests. I got a very large fail, only 57% of my lungs work. That can be blamed on being a smoker all my life. And my blood pressure is through the roof. Another fail. So it kinda looks like the smokes have to go, and my rather heavy alcohol intake. Once I have taken care of that I might be able to join Glorivale. Or even better still I can get into detecting. But lets cut to the chase. At the moment I am kinda knackered for me and Chrispys secret mission. And I do believe that in a moment of anticipation he may have mentioned it to you. I have no problem with you and the Crisp teaming up on that little project. But that of course is up to Chrispy. The campa van can accommodate you both, as I can make up a good bed downstairs for you.

Now as to the secret mission, well just how long will that remain a secret. One of these days someone else is going to stumble across it. So its a need to be done mission. And it will take more than a day or two. To throw Ericd off the scent lol, I will provide the helicopter access to get into the area, and give you a few quick lessons in abseiling so you both don't kill yourselves. I used to do a bit of alpine climbing in my younger days.

You Mr 8 will be using the Etrac, so you had better get yourself up to speed on it. Chrispy can help there. He will be using the CTX3030, and once I teach him how to use the GPS function, when you get back I can download it onto google earth and see how well you have followed my directions to the hidden lost reef. basically all you need is a rock pick, and a pair of pliers to pull the gold out. Although a few digging tools may well come in handy. And perhaps a metal prob to search for some other goodies. And no its nowhere near Preservation Inlet. But the gold is there.

You will both search in open screen, relic mode as I have a love for old timers gold mining picks. I am sure if you both hit the motherlode you will take care of me lol. A three way split.

Run it across Chrispy, if he says yep, then all is well with me. I would really prefer he has a friend and companion on this mission. I so wish it was me, but my current demise kinda rules that out. Maybe in a year I will be a lot better. But I have lots more secret places to share.

Chrispy you had better google Minelab. Click on CTX3030 and start reading the Manuel. The mean buggers dont send you a printed one. You have to go online. Much like the etrac, but a colour screen and gps and a few more bells and whistles. I have got Target Trace and target Pin point activated

Hi Trev,

Sorry to hear of your health issues. I hope you are able to follow the Docs advice and
get better soon so you can get out there and find stuff for as we see stuff is being found every day.

I managed to give up the smokes back in 91. Wasn't easy from about 2 packs a day but I did it
somehow. One thing that did help was quite simple. Drink some cool water every time your brain
says light up 24/7. Good luck.

MK

Thanks MK. Smoking has just put the ciboshe on the mission of the Century. And you know what I am talking about behind my smokescreen.

Cheers Trev. PS At the least the minelabs will be doing their work. Bloody sad I can't be there to see them work their magic. Damm damm double buggar. The first wee hill would have me gasping and that is the truth of the matter. And hey I am 67 years old. Its time for the younger fella's to tackle that mission. But I will get better, thats a promise.

Hi All

Just thought I would add we are all " A Band of Brothers" with a common interest and that's what makes this place. We don't need a committee, a President, a Treasurer, a Secretary and annual dues. Thanks Gaven for providing this place for us. Its the best Club I have ever belonged too.

Cheers Hatter and all.
Nothing i like more than going on a hunt, cleaning up the finds, out with the camera and doing a post on the forum, a real buzz.
Replies or posting can seem difficult at times so just hit the THANKS button when you can, makes the world of differance to some including myself.
Happy hunting and be safe out there.
