Hi I'm new to finding gold. I have built a sluice box and have pans and off to Broken Hill Coromandel this weekend.
Has and one checked Broken Hill?

I've been there a few times but haven't had a good fossick there yet. There is a working mine there that you pass if you do the walk to the old battery sites.

I would be interested in hearing how you go.

Gary..

If there was gold still in those tunnels.....do you think the old timers would have left it there?? If you had the right equipment ....do you really think you would allowed to just go in there & get it. There is a lot more to it than what you are dreaming of. Be realistic.

i wondered where those photos were taken, they looked familiar, so much overburden in the river though, i will leave that to the dredge boys

good luck on the tunnel rating rob2180, they are pretty wet and dark and those cave whetas give you the shitz

i once took a photo of quartz in a tunnel on a mates camera, the photo showed the disturbed twisted face of a red haired older woman, quite disturbing, we researched the camp and the matriache (spelling) of the camp was a ginger older woman who looked very similar, freaked us all out and the looser deleated the photo.

beware what lurkes in the tunnels?????????
