Hi yall,
I am flying to Christchurch in January and tiki touring back north in a rental van.
I want a detector to use mainly on the public fossicking areas for gold but also be able to find silver coins at all the picnic areas I will stop at along the way between the fossicking areas.
I intend to resell this detector after the trip.
I think that a gold bug pro with a 5 & 10 inch coil will cover all my bases?
Any suggestions for alternative options? (I have considered the makro and the minelab 705)
And would my Excalibur 2 be any use at all on small gold?
And would the gold bug pro be any use in the coromandal?
2016 Totals

Gold 0
Silver 3
Silver coins 25
Returns 2

What about using your Excal in all the swimming spots near those picnic area's. Might find more gold.

If I were using one for a roadtrip then re-selling I would be looking at a quality used unit so you possibly wont lose much money when you off load it when you get home -

Gold Bug
G2
F75
T2
Racer
Fors CoRe
Deus
XT705

all could be suitable for your excursion - also send me an email closer to the time as I will have some rentals in by then & I am more than happy to go to PD members cheap
