Hi, I have been trying to find my way around the forum for the rules on selling or advertising.

I am thinking of selling my 3" Proline combo and wondered if this forum would be the place to begin.

Combo is a great unit am just settling down to a smaller unit and a shovel to maintain my fitness.

Turning 72 in October and her indoors and I are reassessing our priorities and activities for the future.

Can someone direct me to the forum rules please? Cheers, John.
I try to learn from the mistakes of other's, I haven't got enough time left to make them all myself!

I think you just put your ad in the buy sell swap section on the forum.

If a proline combo is gold related(?!) sure, stick it on the Buy, Sell & Swap section ;)

Forum rules... I haven't put any together yet. One of those jobs that's waiting for me to have some free time (along with the FAQ).

A proline combo is quite a mean machine all round weapon you can get in the hunt for gold...i havent used 1 but i imagine a lot of you guys that like a bit of this n that would like to get your hands on 1...it,s basically a highbanker but also has the bonus of converting into a dredge though not a floating 1....but iv heard good things about them....espcially when it come,s to small remote creeks/bed rock etc....

Hi guys, Yes as GBM said they are great little set ups. You can use it as a highbanker where you shovel material into it & the classifier bars only let a certain size of material actualy go through the sluice. The bigger rubbish material just falls out the back. You can just set the set up close to where you want to process material & bring the water to it. So you could set it up at a distance from the river, say on a higher terrace. You arent reliant on needing flowing water & having to cart material to your sluice box set up in a river. You can with the highbanker bucket material in to it.
Here is a little highbanker set up that I made in operation. You can shovel into the top hopper where the material is washed over the classifier punch plate by the water jets. The good thing is that you can alter the pitch (angle) of the hopper. So if you are processing clayey type material you can set the hopper quite flat. That allows the pressure of the water from the jets to really nail the clay & brake it up totaly before it goes through the box or before the material falls back out before it has been totaly broken up. Clay is the biggest robber of gold from a sluice box. Any gold that a clay ball rolls over with just pick the gold up (stick to it) & carry it out of the box & back into the drink.

Here the material is going through the sluice

Or you can use the set up with a suction nozzle as in a little suction dredge. This you can leave sitting in its frame with legs mounted on the bank or you could float it on a pontoon or floats out in the river. Here is my little set up mounted on the river side & sucking material up to the hopper box

when i get the chance i will show you how my dredge box converts to a highbanker in about 2 minutes on legs high enough to shovel straight into without bending over to much so that you are using your hips not your back to much

This one has floats ... everything except air! (which is available at ProLine NZ agent Naseby)
