Hi there, My names Chris, 38 years old,i'm in Chch and looking for someone to go out fossicking at either the public areas or anywhere that you may have access to and share gas etc. I am currently on an invalid benefit so have all week spare but not so many funds spare. I have a complete engineering setup here at home so can help with making some gear etc etc
Anyone keen?

Hi Chris,

I've just (finally) landed in ChCh from Mexico on Sunday. Just hunting around for a Hilux to buy so we've got some wheels and then have to fund a house to rent. The complete engineering setup sounds nice. All my workshop/foundry is currently in a container HOPEFULLY past Mexican customs and on the high sea bound for Lyttleton via China.

Itching to get out there swinging the coil and fossicking once I've got the family ensconced in a suitable home.

There's quite a few of us in CHCH I believe, maybe we should have a day at the beach so everyone can meet up? Anyone know where the sand's been flushed out?

Yep, absolutely keen to catch up with you guys. I'm thinking more and more about doing a bit of detectoring too. You can rent one in town(whats left of it) I believe?

I got the book Hammy's Gold out of the library yesterday and have caught a bit of gold fever I think. :)

I also got another book on detectoring and the author has found over 21000 english pounds of coins, 2 and a half kilos of gold jewellery, 1 and a half kilos of silver and much more. All in fourteen years. Guess he has paid for his detectors then. :)
