Hey so Im relatively new to this forum but some of you guys might find this useful

I decided a while back that a spare battery for my detector would be a good idea in the mountains. Rather than buying a new battery for my GPextreme at some extravagant price I brought a similar lead acid battery off trademe and put some clips on the battery housing.

Lead acid battery was only $30ish and has been going strong for some time now

I have to say I like it! Although I didn't know detectors used so much juice.

Along those same lines here is a very sophisticated light I made. It uses red LED's to preserve my night vision.

Holy Cats, do you have to wear sunscrean to run those things? Do they use a lot of electricity because they are pulse induction?
