Hi all,

Just thought I would say a big hello.

My name is Nathan. I'm a mainlander born and bred but now am living in Tauranga.

Not too many years ago I would spend a bit of time up in 12 Mile Creek and Gabriel's Gulley when I could. (getting a bit of colour but no big nuggets).

If there are any people willing to share knowledge or even meet up to fossick (legally) in the Coromandel then please let me know.

Cheers

Hi there, You cant fossick "legally" any where in the north island. Even in the Coromandel. You do so at your own risk.

Hi sluiceboxmaker.

If you stick to Doc land and only use handheld tools, I don't think you will have too much of a problem. If you are relatively discrete. most people, including Doc, will choose to overlook your not quite legal activity.
