Yes all the gold is from Nelson area. The big one is from the Howard but I cant claim that one to myself the photo was taken at the Goldroom in Hokitika, they were nice enough to let me hold it for the pic it comes in at about 8 ounces.
I have found the odd piece up the Howard with my gpx-4500.

If you don't mind me asking, how much was there in pic 041 and pic 1?
Looks like a couple ounces?
Was it all found dredging? Any pics of you doing it? I'd be interested to see, I'm pretty much a newbie.
Cheers.

GPX, sounds like my kind of thing! :)
That seems pretty efficient though. 2ish days gets you around $4K which I would say is not a bad pay day. Hard work always pays off too!!!!
Thanks for the pics.

It's interesting the colour variation you get with Howard gold vs Baton or Peka stuff. Howard a deeper colour whereas other much lighter.

Lighter coloured stuff usually has a higher silver content, but over time with plant acids & exposer to the elements these impurities can be leached out of the gold making it a higher purity & darker gold colour.
