Good read oroplata,
do you know the area?
spent a few nights up there about seven years ago, found some nice flakes at the start of the Alice.
First trip up there seen quite a few red deer, went back several times with me .308 but no sign of the buggers!!
Cheers again
Steve

Nice to see all that colour on the rubber - some nice chunky pieces you're getting there!

No, but I'd like to.

My ancestors were on the first boats to arrive in Nelson - they had to stopover in Wellington first because when they left England, the exact location of Nelson had yet to be decided. They went on to begin the settlements of Riwaka and Karamea.

Spent a couple of hours about 1 km above the ford with a pan, just above a lot of old workings. Only got a few specks in the pan and some silver colored flakes, may have been gold with mercury on board. While there the claim holder, Darren, from just above where we were panning arrived to set up camp for easter and mentioned he did all right up there. Just great being there. Next time I think I will try amoungst the old worked area. Managed to gather a nice feed of mushrooms.
