Came across this Forum through a Google search for Trommel's & diggers in the South Island. Great to see a local forum, and glad to be part of it.

My background is purely amatuer, but know of some good spots in the upper South Island and Coromandel areas. Can't divulge these of course, you understand, need to know basis, and you fellow prospectors don't need to know!

Claim jumpers, BEWARE! My shotgun is ALWAYS LOADED! :-)

Gidday Aurum.

Let us know when you get those diggers and trommels. Always looking for easier ways to shift a bit of dirt on the Coromandel. Don't believe everything you read in the papers, I'm sure most people wouldn't mind you digging a small hole with them, up here.

LOL! Very clever, well, it's somewhere between 41oSouth and 174oEast!

Thanks to all who have welcomed me to this forum, definitely think this will be the place to go for intel on prospecting around NZ.

gjj109 - I hear ya about the Coro sites. Kennedy Bay would be a good start for the digger & trommel! :-)
