Hello fellow fossickers, first contact with the forum. Finally starting a lifetime wish, serious fossicking for gold, and an appreciation for the outdoors.I have a good selfcontained camper,a yearly DOC camp pass and have the time.(just retired)From time to time I would like to use the forum to offer stories which may be of interest.i e Early family who made a living mining in central otago, own experiences as a kid in the 1960s etc.
Could someone out there set me up with a good gold detector.I have a basic understanding of discrimination etc so having plenty of time to fossick ,would consider a goldbug 2 with the 5'' coil and a coil to work to about 500mm underwater.Have studied the US sites prices etc. South Island prefered. Thanks to all Peter F
