Just heard on local news that Sherwood Park playground has apparently been seeded with fish hooks !
They were apparently discovered when a kid got one in the foot.

Any WHG detectors keen to make themselves known to WDC and offer services - I see in the Herald, a pic of a guy using a TradeMe wonder, I bet he's missed more than a few...

A trademe wonder as you pointed out is really the only option for cheaper units and as we know, people flock to trademe like moths around a light or flies around a ??? you get what I mean - I personally think dealers should be offering the REAL alternative on trademe -

I also know of a few people who have many top shelf units, sitting in their wardrobes, so I suppose at least the person you mention is having a go...........

Another point is, man there is some sic stuff found in playgrounds - I have found live ammo, sharpened metal rods etc that you just know that some sicko is depositing stuff there for malicious purposes -

I hope you guys get it sorted

Would be a good deed for someone to pop down there and have a go at cleaning out those hooks. Wouldnt be easy but a kind gesture on behalf of the metal detecting community.

Heard on the radio they recon they got them all. Could just be a kind with some fishing gear they dropped.
And now....On sandy beaches and muddy soil, rings and coins await my coil!
