Yeah, it's a shame - it sure does deserve to be back with the owner! at least it’s not stuck underground anymore.

That's a lot of Britannias in that last pic!
Hmm, a farthing still eludes me.

I was going to add dates on them all but ran out of time :)

The Farthing is so small I was lucky to find it myself - it was under a large tree root and the signal was so poor I almost didn't dig it. Lesson learnt, go with that gut feeling and dig, dig, dig.

Stopped off at a small WWII gun emplacement for 15 for minutes on the way home from walking the dogs. Had the ATPRO in the Ute so went for a quick swing and found a New Zealand forces button, NZ Corps badge and pulled a lot of ammo out of one spot, including two 50 caliber bullets all dated 1942 - L C - Lake City Army Ammunition Plant that was established by Remington Arms in 1941 to manufacture and test small caliber ammunition for the U.S. Army.

That badge is a cool find Sam.
Not so sure about the live bullets though - but still a great find.

You can take live ammo to the cop shop as far as I know.
They have a disposal system. I took some ww2 303 shells
a few years back.
