Hey everyone. Im new here, and new to the gold fossicking scene. I am shifting down to south westland soon and am excited about the prospect of gold panning! I will be spending alot of time up the Waitaha valley. I really don't want to piss anyone off so if I head up from kiwi flat hut will I be ok? Is there any chance of finding anything up there? Any advice, thoughts and even criticism will be greatly appreciated lol.

check the permit map here. looks like theres a claim around the kiwi flat area
