Maybe someone on here knows who's dredge is up deep creek, I was up there sniping today and there was a couple of lads up the creek who didn't look like the usual fossicking type ( they had no gear) walked passed me without saying a word, but I was facedown in the creek. Just a warning as a few dredges have gone missing over the years. It could be innocent enough but like I said the guys looked out of place. I didn't take note of truck rego at the bottom as it didn't cross my mind but there was a white hilux at the bottom when I turned up. Anyways ...

Hi Gav, So how did you do with your sniping. Photo's please :)

Was the white Hilux a flat deck with a tool box up behind the cab? Might have been the dredge owners.

Here is my last friday/saturday gold finds

Hi john, it was a hard canopy type ute. Could of been the owners acting rather shy about being caught up there I suppose! Looks like you had a good weekend detecting, the stuff I found is hardly worth showing about 3grm in around 40 pieces.
Spent most of the day trying to move boulders which in turn clouded the water up making searching very hard.
At least the waters warm though.

G'day golddigger, were the guys you caught locals?

I wish sniping was easy work :) but then every bugger would be out there doing it.

Do you get much out the arrow this weekend mate?

wish goldmining was easy work, 10.5 grams for 3.5hrs, moving big mother f@#$% rocks as well. The peeps were from Te Anau, thought that a family holiday sniping on someones claim was a good idea. Just as well they didnt know what they were doing, or my attitude would have been a little less accommodating.

G'day Dave, Thats a good return for 3.5 hours of rock wrestling. Would have been nice in the water this past weekend. The BIG mother F#%@er rocks is where the gold is likely to be because no one would have moved those for a LOOOONNNNGGGG time.
Effort & reward. Good on you mate, you earned it :)

JW :)
