I think these are old seals. Have string attached, only about 20mm square. One has H2 on it. Anyone comment please

we have seals on the beach over here but they don't look like those

Must have been for something important to be sealed. Not like the mail bag seals which were round.

A lot of valued things had lead seal tags back in the day. Your square ones may still have been mail tags as some were but hard to say.
