All I can say is one has to ponder if the same falsing problems they have with the GPP are carried over into this NEW design & why has it taken so long to do this? In fact if you look at it, its only submersible to 10' (now old technology)

Was it the fact that there are more capable pin-pointers to choose from now that has got Garrett up off their backside to upgrade their GPP?

I for one if looking at a waterproof pin-pointer would go with whats currently on the market as its cheaper & IMO designed better - Don't forget that Deteknix are releasing their NEW waterproof unit this year and if their X-Pointer is a measure of whats coming I know I wont be disappointed -

What makes Deteknix Pin-Pointers far superior to the GPP, is reliability, price & the fact that sales, service and support are all carried out here in New Zealand so you don't have to bundle up your faulty GPP and send to the USA every 6 months -

I honestly think Garrett missed the boat by a few years - However its always good to have new products released

Looks Like I got beaten to it

You know you will be able to trust the X-pointer. Not sure what colours are available on the new waterproof models but....
Yellow and even Pink are available with the standard Xpointer.

Cheer guys - didn't realise there was a waterproof XPointer due out (rubs hands together)

I do admit to submerging my XPointer far more often than I should - to about full arm on occasions and haven't had water issues yet.
I don't use my old Garrett now, salt sensitivity and falsing issues just too much of a nuisance.
