I reckon the ol boy is hiding it in this tent they call the sorting room. The highest ranking member gets to personally weigh up the gold on his own in this room at the end of each day. Thats the custom i do believe.

For those that dont watch this show its about a dozen guys that are broke so they go gold mining in the Allaskin wilderness at Porcupine Creek. 20 ton diggers. Big gold sorting machines. They built some houses there. Bears... They had to shoot one. Blood and tears. About episode 4 now.

It hasnt got a good rap from overseas forums........I dont have sky but it is apparently able to be seen online somewhere. From what I have heard...I dont think I will bother though. It sounds like just another of those crap reality TV shows.

you're pretty right there.
i've seen bits of it, it's heavily edited and just another reality show, shame because it could have been a good show. at least there aren't any challenges and voting off's with this one.
i wonder if what the tv are paying them is more than what they have found in gold LOL!!

It's almost too frustrating to watch, they're so stupid.

All that money spent trucking their diggers up from Washington to Alaska for staters instead of buying some locally once they got there.

But it's like all the other reality shows - OC Choppers, American Hot Rod - all as dumb as a box of rocks, but interesting to watch anyway if your a fan of welding machines.

We really enjoyed this series... saw it online as it was released in the US. The 'old boy' and his son are already quite wealthy from what I understand, yet amazing story about the human-emotion side of putting everything on the line to find gold. Without giving away the ending, it seemed like a lot of work for a modest return. It's nice being a gold buyer once the gold has been found! :)

The neighbor across the river looks like he's doing quite well!

I've just started to watch the series - looks quite amusing. Just seem to be expecting something to go wrong at any minute! Only watched the 1st episode last night.

I had to rewind it as I thought I'd mis-head... 45 guns and 180 boxes of ammo?! There's only about 6 of them?! what the hell are they going to do with so many guns? The mind boggles!

Hey it is keeping me entertained , anyway what is a reality show without drama. Imagine 6 guys go to Alaska look for gold get rich and remain great mates. lol If that happened they would have to get technical to fill in the time and while we may enjoy that, the average American Ad break every 2 mins watcher would turn it off.:-)

On the 2nd episode this black beer kept coming into the camp so they stalked it down and shot it.. There were other big beers around too. Middle of knowhere, beers, gold, crazy people, i would be armed up too i guess. The welder guy looked like he had a semiauto assault gun.
