Uh why are you spamming? it almost seems way to fishy that you are posting the places you have been going, asking for money and such.

https://www.tineye.com/s...668&m12=-0.000295658

Why is it that your gold concentrate image show up on a hobbie blog from the 3rd of November? Something is off with you.

Simply just uploaded the wrong photo mate(100's of panning results both mine and others)... and this thread is in a BUY AND SELL area is it not? usually when u are BUYING or SELLING there is MONEY involved is there not? And as for saying where im going prospecting, Are you for real???????? I mean come on mate, The Coromandel is over 150km long by 65kms wide,The Shotover has a length of 75kms, The Mikonui is 25kms in length and has a 165km3 catchment area so how is that saying where i am going, I did however write a post about the crooked river mouth, I live in Coromandel so that area are unaccessible to me at present and there is extensive underwater rimu logging taking part in 2015 so the Crooked River Bed will be affected... So let me get this straight,Its not accepted on this forum to 1.Advertise pay dirt/ore for sale 2.discuss locations and 3.Try and look for some like minded people to go prospecting with.To be honest with you mate you have highly offended me.I however wont stoop to your level and insult you.and to anyone that also thinks im "off" i invite to come prospecting with me...

Hey Goldguy

Great idea, make good xmas presents, grand dad will be able to pan for gold from the comfort of his rest home. Peeps, worry more about the cheep replica metal detectors, and stop having a dig at every1 who has an idea.

I remember getting worked up with someone selling micro nuggets on trademe at ridiculous prices, and in hindsight, I was just being a %^&*wit. So lets not assume everything is a con, let individuals seek each other out and they can ask the relevant questions prior to purchasing or not.

Could be a big group.

Can't expect miners/prospectors not to be cautious/suspicious it's in their blood.

Now I'm not saying you are up to mischief but by using "Supplement" images, it is at least misleading.

And it's not just on this thread.

I was not insulting you, rather I found it odd that you post a fair few threads in quick succession , the fact that I found a cropped image of the concentrates set off alarm bells for me, and those rocks with gold you found guardian has kindly pointed out that the image is from another site that has not been crawled by tinyeye.

If you can look at it from someone who is well versed in Internet scams you can kind of see how and why things start to look rather odd.

Hi there Goldguy, Welcome to the forum. :) Shame you werent around on this site when I was in the Coro region, now in Central Otago chacing easier gold. We would have got on like a house on fire I am sure. Spent a bit of time up around the Coromandal township gold areas with some nice finds too.

There are many more. Shame I arent there any more. We would have had some fun adventures I am sure. Hope you stick around & share your finds & adventures. Not there locations though. People need to do their own home work & research & do the hard yards out in the field for themselves. Effort & reward.

Good luck out there

JW :)

Awesome finds mate, theres not alot of people up these ways prospecting the coromandel, once u know the geology of the area its pretty easy , but ive literally scouted every valley from the Kopu-Hikuai To Tapu
Gold is relatively easy to find, just hard work and a bit of local knowledge. Love your finds as i have very similar pieces ,will take photos now and show ya

Some good bits of gold there goldguy89. I see the gold in your pictures is rather blurry and the background is in focus. I think your camera must be auto focusing on the background. Try putting the gold on a table or other surface and then take a photo, that way the back ground and gold will be a very similar distance from the camera. I have had the same trouble.
And now....On sandy beaches and muddy soil, rings and coins await my coil!

Hi there Goldguy, Looks like nice bits you have there. I just shot up the arrow river to do a bit of sluice boxing for a couple of hours since my last post. Got a wee bit of colour for the effort.

Here are some more of my Coro finds.

Hi there Goldguy, I just use one of my home made sluice boxes. This is the set up I used last night in the Arrow river.

UserPostedImage

Made this with a detachable flare that comes off & sits sideways in the box for easier back packing in to more remote areas. The two bolts you can see at the head of the box just below the flare are to attach a raised classifier screen for when I use the sluice box as my mini 3" suction dredge set up with jet flare that attaches to the very front of the box with either a power jet or suction nozzle set up.

UserPostedImage

Result from one clean up after a few bucket loads were put down the box

Then a second clean up

All this fitted in to my back pack. You will notice the classifier screen attached to the head of the sluice box. The dredge flare is detached for packing.

I have other stuff I have made like a highbanker that i can shovel into with spray jet bars to wash & sort & it too converts to a 2" suction dredge set up. Very handy little item that is also back packable.

Sorry Goldguy, Havnt meant to hijack your thread. I will make this my last one.

Thanks Phil & Dave for your comments but I dont know about the legend bit Dave. Crickey.....I just love getting out there looking for the bloody stuff & the beaut places it takes me.
Hows your dredging season shaping up Phil. You going to get much time up on your claim this summer??

Peterpaparoa: I took Gary out for a days detecting with his new 2300. He found a couple of wee nuggys so I was happy for him with those finds. My 2300 has arrived but I havnt had a play with it yet.

Found this lot detecting a couple of weekends ago. Ones on the left were found on the saturday & the ones on the right on the sunday where I took Gary out. 6.5 grams all up

Great post yet again, thanks. Really pleased to get an update on Gary, I bet he is loving the 2300, I'm sure you will as well, especially when you do a long hike in like one of your last posts following that water channel.

Cheers Goldguy. Best of luck up in those beautiful Coro creeks. Beautiful they are but a bit of a challenge & not so beautiful when packing in gold gear..... Steep, bushy & often the only way up is in the creek itself......& then you have slippery waterfalls to deal with......Oooooh..... I remember only to well......but that was all part of the adventure. LOL :).
