Hey guys ive been talking to a few fellow prospectors, retailers and large scale miners and have been floating the idea of a national gold convention with product displays and stalls, gold specimen displays , panning competition,
with areas dedicated to new technology,detecting,dredging,panning/sluicing,recovery and smelting and display area. would anyone be interested in attending this if it went ahead? possible locations would be hokitika or greymouth.

Sounds like a good idea, it would take a bit of planning to get there, so would need plenty of notice. Thoroughly enjoyed the get together at lawrence a few years ago.

Great Idea - Perhaps tie a seeded metal detecting hunt there as well for those that enjoy electronic prospecting ......

Definitely sounds interesting and I just happen to have a mate in Hokitika. My darling wife can get away on mountain bike trips so it's only fair eh? Guys?
