Hi Guys, Bit of bad news. Here is a link to a bit of history & operations of L&M's Mintago investments Earnsclough Gold mining operation across the Clutha from Alexandra here in Central Otago where they carried on from where the bucket dredges of the past ceased operations.

Now the bad news. http://www.odt.co.nz/new.../mine-close-35-jobs-lost

On the opposite side of the coin you have a new mining operation in Northen Southland at Waikaia. Waikaia Gold going from strength to strength since starting to produce gold back in November of last year.

Check out the last pic of the recovery gear.

Gold is a fickle business.

Good luck out there

I guess when you sink your plant and lose production, it is to much to gain back that loss of time. Need to get one of those pressure jigs and the rotating thing on my six inch thing, :-)

LOL :) Which 6" 'thing' are you talking about Dave.....????? :)

I am sure if L&M were recovering 200 ounces a week like Waikaia gold are then they would have recovered reasonably quickly, but obviously there werent. You think they would have noticed the plant sinking or looking a bit different in the water before it actually went under.

Cheeras
