Had a go at retrieving this very squished silver ring today as it is too wet to go detecting.
I don't have the proper tools so it is a bit rough but at least I managed to get it wearable. A large tapered sinker
made quite a good anvil to hold the ring as I bashed it with a 12mm brass rod. :-) All good fun.

That's a pretty good outcome when you have a look at the "before" photo. You've got to be pretty pleased with that.
