Gidday Rambo.

That would be a waste of money. You might find a car in a car park, but not a great deal more. You need to do a bit of online research on the Fisher and Garrett offerings. Decide what you want and/or can afford. If you know the cost of a new machine, you can then decide whether or not a second hand one represents good value.

Hi

If you can't manage $350 wait until you can, you wont find a better machine for the price and anything less is just going to frustrate you. The F2 will be a keeper, even if you out grow it you will want to hold on to it for a backup or for a companion to use. You probably wont find one secondhand much cheaper. TradeMe with the exception of a few is just profiteers with little to no knowledge of their equipment or the hobby.

Welcome to the forum by the way!

Hi Rambo and welcome.
Have to agree the 99 bucker will soon test your patience. The F2 is a better choice and well worth the time to sort out.
Good luck out there and happy hunting.
