I found this on one of the US forums talking about historical hunts in California.

the beach this happened at was Carmel Beach. There had also been some storms that raked that one in 1977 as well (before I was beach erosion hunting, so I knew nothing of what was going on). In those '77 storms, a particular fellow got 15 gold rings in a day!

Hunting must have been a bit ho hum after the 13th ring. :-)

Yeah I bet he was getting bored with the repetitiveness of it all!
