Had a great hunt at this Christchuch location, been doing a heap of research of old homesteads and waht went on on the grand lawns over the years. Photo is a result of 2 hours work on the my fisher f4. Oldest coin 1862 half penny, queen victoria bun head, die letter A.
Also interesting finding 1923 Australian penny in the same area.

Hi there Erickd, Welcome to the forum. Nice finds there mate. Well done. Research does pay off.
But just to let you know, incase you were unawear, you have posted under Gold Prospecting, Fossicking & Mining. Your paticular post being coins should be under Metal Detecting, Coins & Relics etc.
