I found this the other day...It says London on it but cant read the other word..looks something like p???mer
also has a silver looking end cap thing.
Its not a gas/hose fitting...I don't know

Mouthpiece for a brass instrument.

Haven't seen one with a chain attached before. Obviously a failed experiment!

The chain suggests a bugle, and I'd hazard a guess the word you're looking for is "Potter" (Charing Cross, London)
