Hey folks a mate and I went away over the weekend. We tried two new places on Saturday and found just enough colour to be able to see it in the pan. Camped the night and on Sunday hit a spot where I had detected a couple of nuggets before. Ran the sluice there for a few hours and got ourselves just 1.5g. Not exactly a great reward gold wise but still good fun. Also cam across the biggest spider I have yet seen.

And now....On sandy beaches and muddy soil, rings and coins await my coil!

Big buggers aren't they? Makes you think twice about turning rocks over with bare hands!
Biggest ive seen was about 50% bigger than that when it ran up my arm after moving a boulder-Ill admit it I screamed like a girl!
