That's a great job of salesmanship JW, maybe you should get a job at Tourism Coromandel. We need a few more who are passionate about the place.

And now....On sandy beaches and muddy soil, rings and coins await my coil!

Hi JW,
yep the place is all that and a lot warmer than the south!
Work is full on at the moment, some weeks can clock up 70 + hours, which leaves not a lot of gas in the tank to venture to far out.

Rege:
yes most of the gold is in shallow bedrock not far from the river waterline,in saying that your best asset out there is observation, get up well above the river and have a dam good look to see where the river flow may have been before we humans came on the scene.

Hi Lammerlaw,
I never ever get tired at looking at gold ,put it under the microscope and it takes on a whole new dimension.
PS nice looking boat, after looking at the pics you might not want to return home!.

Hatter,
how you doin?
yep all the fines detected as it seems to hang out the the bigger bits.
One crevice up past the sulice box had a nice 2.2 grammer and 4.5 grams of very fine stuff which took bloody hours to
extract.
Good luck up the Waka this week, keep in touch as i be keen to see how you go.
Take care out there
Steve
