Jar of Mercury - Inquiry

Received a call yesterday from a customer who has a .800 jar of mercury which he gathered whilst at Puhipuhi some years back. His inquiry was how to dispose of it or is there anyone out there who wants it. I couldnt give him any advice as im not sure myself. Does anyone want it or know how to safely dispose of it. Any ideas welcome. .
