Hi everyone,
I enjoy metal detecting the Auckland beaches and fossicking down at Thames and Coromandel which I have found some very small grains of gold. I belong to the "Gold Prospectors Assocition of America" and get their Bi-monthly magazine and emails. I've their whole DVD collection of "Gold Fever" which is a weekly program on their Outdoor chanel in America. There's 5 box sets. I'am a boatbuilder and a D.I.Y and love making home inventions ,so I really think I'am going to enjoy this site. Can anyone tell me how to attach pictures to this. ( Didn't have computors when I went to school )

G'day EAF, Welcome to the site. That looks like either St Heliers or Kohi. I am originaly from Glendowie. Looks like a Garrett weapon you have there, I use an older Garrett Treasure Ace 300. Pretty much just a switch on & go machine. But I have found a shit load with it. Can tell 9 times out of ten what coin I have before even digging it up. Well that was before the new coinage came out that has(can you believe it)IRON in it. That sort of up set the discrimination ability as I am sure you will know about. Has a good discrimination & ID on it. Went out on the beach here in Whanga just the other night for half an hour. First time in ages & found a few $1 & $2 dollar coins & a nice mans silver ring.
Here are few pics of some of my finds on beachs & parks over the years.
