I have recently lost my wife and no longer feel like detecting. Need the money also.

I have a fisher goldbug pro with all 3 coils and a garret pro pointer. Pickup in chch. May consider postage at buyers expense.
$1000 ono or $850ono without propointer

Best to txt me on 022 3825606 with any queries/offers etc as I dont get on here much anymore.

Cheers and thanks for having me here guys. I enjoyed my stay but just have lost all joy in life.

Edit****Thanks for the kind replies guys, I appreciate it. I should point out that she didnt die, she just left me. I'm hoping to reconcile in the hopefully near future but it seems like one step forward two steps back at the moment and it sucks. I'm hoping to get the money from this sale to pay for a polygraph test to help prove my innocence on a couple matters that have affected my marriage. $860 for 2 questions I already know the answer to!!! Bloody rip off but if I get her back, it's worth every penny.

I totally relate , at 29 Y.O i "lost" my young wife (were married only 8 month ), Had an absolutely crazy time for the first 6 month last year.

However, This exact hobby and friends helped me to be sane. going out and setting a goal of finding stuff was pushing day forward with small achievements, regardless if it was a penny, 20$ in coins or a gold ring from the beach.

stay with us , call up Chris or any other CHCH team and go out there !

Best wishes ,

Max

Chrischch:

We haven't met but i feel for you mate. Thoughts are with you today.

I can understand your loss and how it must make it impossible to do stuff you used to love doing, such as detecting. As DrunkBrother has already said, sometimes you need such an outlet as detecting to get your mind off it all temporarily. Over time i'm sure your wife would love to see you continue your much loved hobby.

I'm sure others here that know you well can support you through such a tough time. life goes on as the saying goes. hard to look on the bright side of such a life changing moment but i'm certain you and your wife must have had many great times and adventures together. relish those memories and you will get through it.

Simon.

I've never met you Chris but hey so sorry to hear that mate, can't imagine what your goin through.

As for selling ya stuff........I've always used detectin as a form of stress relief, a time to forget about everything else & get lost in me own little world for awhile so put ya machine in the cupboard for now mate I'm sure you'll want to dust it off in the future.

Take care.

I dont mean to speak out of turn here, & please forgive me if I am wrong, but if your wife left you because of a couple of questions that she obviously doesnt believe your answers to, & you are being totally honest & up front with your answers, & she still doesnt trust or believe you then is she really worth having back? She is supposed to be your best friend, rock & totally support you no matter what & through thick & thin.
Time heals.....I know....I have been down that road & lost all I had worked for for 43 years of my life to a women who contributed nothing financialy to anything I had built up ( four houses) provided for her & four kids & she shat on me after 14 years of marriage. Sold me up & cashed me in & moved on to another bloke that she was having an affair with for two years. I moved out of our family home & he moved in at no cost to him. A fully furnished freehold two storied 4 bed room colonial villa. Am I bitter?....YES but my passion for detecting & chasing gold helped me through the days/years that I thought life had no further meaning for me. I have met & remarried. Got married up in skippers on Pleasant Creek Terrace looking back over the old suspension bridge. Beautiful spot. That was 7 years ago. So when you think life is over....time does heal...where a door closes a window opens. Just hang on to a thin thread that gives you a glimmer of joy to take away the dark moments & negative thoughts. If you have a passion for detecting...stick with it. You do need something to keep a flicker of a flame or spark.

Best of luck.

Regards

John :)

Well said, John. Without trust, there is nothing. If it's time to move on, it's time to move on, and there IS hope for a different future, even if right now it doesn't seem that way. Detecting is a great distraction from the worries of the world, so don't sell!
