Hey Luke, That is beautiful to look at and I bet it's even nicer to feel the weight of it in your hand. With my experience in panning for gold I only have one question. Don't you keep any of the smaller pieces? :)

Cheers

Shaggy

Hi there Luke, Nice going there mate. When you say this is all the gold I have got this year & your post is dated 8th january. Does that mean you have found that lot of gold for the first 8 days of this year 2014??

This was my finds for last saturday. 6 bits for 9.2 grams

UserPostedImage

Bigger one was just over 5 grams

The weekend before with three nice little quartz specimen bits.

A couple of days after new years. 5.11 grams

UserPostedImage

Been a good start to the new year for me. Hope it continues.

Did a bit of dredging on an unclaimed creek just prior to new years & got just 2.5 grams so think I will stick to the detecting LOL :)

Here is a pic of a piece that I took under water after I had sucked off the gravel

And another caught up in a little crevice. 4" suction tip bottom left

Total 2.5 grams

Happy new year guys

Good luck out there

JW :)
