I'm heading to Hokitika for a weekend soon and I am wondering where the best areas are for prospecting, I will be using my sluice and gold bug, any help would be greatly appreciated :) thanks
if pulltabs were gold rings, id be a "trillionaire"

Ive been to Shamrock creek near hokitika and got some pretty good colour.

Was there over Xmas. No one was getting huge amounts. 1/2 gram a day if you worked at it.
A couple of days I might have got 1 gram/day. but wasn't weighing it each day.
