Just wandered if the guy who's got the macetown claim is part of this forum! Was up by the richburn at the weekend and there was a few dodgy looking fellas camped up on the river, they were trying to hide out with camo tarps spread about the place. Just seemed a bit suspicious to me because as soon as they caught wind of me they hid. Couldn't see any dredging gear but the river bed was exceptionally clean next to the camp.

While I am on the rich burn theme, I heard some gossip about it becoming a PFA next year any body know?

yeah, i know one of the claim owners. the area up to the road end is meant to be a doc public area so i'm sure doc will be keen to catch anyone screwing over the area before it is even opened. meant for panning and sluice boxing only i'm guessing. and if there's anyone who's up on their claim i wouldn't want to be them.if you see dredges or anyone doing anything on the claim maybe some photos and detail taking may be in order.

the claim is all the water above macetown from the arrow junction up the richburn and all tribs to the mountain tops.
