Rubbish,
they say that production is 1800 OZ a year, that is 2 700 000$ NZD a year turnover.
and they sell for 1.2 m$?

Maybe the mine has been tested for that gold production but not achieved it yet.

My first impression was that they need another processing line as machinery has a habit of breaking and when that one line stops so does the cash flow.

I echo your comments DrunkBrother.....

I too calculated a yearly payday of 2.7 or so Million... they do say price by negotiation, and that the rateable value is 1.2 million, but not what the exact price is. Still it seems that there is lots of land not yet mined, testing would tell if it was a go'a or not I guess, costs heaps just to get your own holes drilled too eh.... Sigh...

TAKE THE PLUNGE, ALIENS WILL INVADE IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS ANYWAY, SO WHEN THAT HAPPENS THERE WILL BE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT..... pity my wife does not share my view :P

What about this one: http://www.trademe.co.nz...75037851&permanent=0

And these two...

So many potentials... so many risks... Will stick to fossicking for awhile yet I feel.

The $1.2 mil is the govt ratable valuation on the bare land if I read this correctly and the price is by negotiation. So I think this is way over my hobbyist means. The plant and equipment would come to more than $1.2 mil without figuring in the gold production, so good luck.

Looks like they have dug a huge hole and moved a mountain of over burden. It looks like a lot of hard work to win the 1,800 ozs per year. If you're keen and have deep pockets, I say go for it!

you are assuming they have free fuel, labour and maintenance. 5 guys and they wont be on minimum wage either so be at least 300k in labour acc etc all that machinery would easily suck back 2k+ fuel a day not to mention breakdowns insurance, royalties and all other costs. theyre probably only just breaking even. or else they've mined all the easier cheapest to mine stuff made the books look good and selling before they make a loss.

Best if you have a daddy who owns a fuel distribution company so you have access to cheap diesel.

Marrying the daughter of a heavy equipment importer not exactly necessary, but recommended.
