Iv just been told that Pinedale is shut down and for sale. I have been looking forward to going back there all year now ive got three weeks with nowhere to go..anyone know of any good camp grounds/motor camps were I could get some gold prospecting in . Im pretty cut up:(

Hi Jimmy, I found that out on wed when i was up at the Wakamarina with my nephew. You could always try pear tree flat or butchers flat. Their not that great, but i guess if you know that area you would know these places. There's meant to be a gold panning event in canvastown in April, i wonder what's happening over that?

what's wrong with Butchers flat? Its a great wee spot!!! Just hasn't got showers but who needs them!
And now....On sandy beaches and muddy soil, rings and coins await my coil!

oh, and i forgot, last year it was the wasps (bastard things).
