Ive checked out that matting and it looks very good and easy to clean out.mite do my sluice with it.
How much is it? I could be keen to go half's depending on price, shipping should be cheaper.

Hi thanks for the reply: 1 piece of Razorback matting (6" by 36") is $35.85 & $63.16 for shipping too N.Z. they are happy to combine shipping so 1-2 or 3 mats would still be $63.16 i assume, can get more details if your keen.....have a think and let me know(all prices in U.S. $$)

so that would be about $80 each. I'm not shore if its worth it. How much better is it? What do you think?I think I will stick with my miners moss and riffles

If you want to know how good the gold hog mats are watch this link:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSbx3I_OrMA

Yes it is a long clip, but it shows you how effective the mats are.

btw, the $35.85 price for the mat is in $U.S.

I've watched nearly every clip on the gold hog website and have learnt frickin heaps about golding (not just about their products)

this is their link:

http://www.goldhog.com/

hope this helps :)

They do look really good. I can only get down south once or twice a year so I don't think a few extra specs will pay for it to soon. Im pretty happy with my miners moss in my keene a51. Thanks anyway good info.

Hi all, I imported some some razor back and UR matting after watching Don of Gold hog on his utube vidios, he gives a good guide to using his matting, and I have found that it works great.
I have rerun my cons after panning and still recovered some fines amongst the black sand, by using a small highbanker made with razor back and UR mat
the only problem with Don's videos is that he likes to talk- lots. but they are entertaining and instructive.

It is good stuff... I have a clean up sluice box, 6 inches wide, 5 foot long with 1/3rd razor back and 2/3 UR... works really well cleaning up everything screened #100 and finer.

Digging in a dry river/creek bed it's been dry for a long time by the looks, 1-2 feet of silt before gravel, using a homemade highbanker, will put up some pics if anyone interested..
