Anyone heading up that way call in for a yarn or a beer..

Hell I bet there there must be some heavy frost by now. I dredged up there in the winter a few times about five years ago,a lot of the bedrock and exposed overburden had iced over!!,,one old local came down to see me and reckoned it was -11 over night. You might want to leave the beer at home and take a bottle of wiskey with ya!!! Happy digging Steve

Reminds me of the night I slept in my old car at Slab Hut Creek when I was having a scratch around over there. I only had a summer sleeping bag and fully clothed I was still shivering that night (I've learnt my lesson now!). There was ice inside the car! A couple in a caravan told me it got down to -6 that night. One bonus though - killed off all the sandflies so was a pleasure fossicking when the sun had finally thawed me out the next day.
