Got some hours in today with Foiled at a couple out of townish parks, stoked to get some silver as the last few hunts have been pretty poor. The button im not sure about & my researching skills aren't the best...think it's NLR? any ideas?

Also finally got a Garrett pro pointer!!! I didn't get to use it today so really amped to get out there & give it a whirl. I stretched a bike tube over it to keep dirt out of the button, its not siliconed just sitting there & it covers the light...Good enough job? or should it cover the whole thing?

Stretch it up a bit more to cover the speaker and your good to go. Don't worry about the sound being reduced as the vibrating is strong enough not to need a speaker even through gloves. The speaker is water resistant but it will soon fill up with dirt if left unsealed anyway (blocking the sound) and its impossible to clean out.

I siliconed mine, if you go this way it only needs a light coat over the speaker, around the button rubber and over the light. Advantage with silicon is that the light still works.

Good job! As Shilo said cover the speaker grill, it's only a thin felt type cloth and grit and moisture works it's way through into the little piezo speaker. The power switch is a weak point so do your best to push it straight in and resist the urge of sliding your thumb across it to turn it on. Keep in mind if you put too much pressure on the side of the body it will false which if you don't know about it might make for some bizarre looking holes not to mention you could be digging away from your target!

You will wonder how you ever managed without it!

Well I used it a couple times & the verdict is..........Its AWESOME!!! & yes how did I manage before I had it?!!?

Ive moved the tube down to cover the speaker & shall treat it like a baby cos I definitely don't want to shell out for another one anytime soon haha
