Hi there JW, Sprocketjockey & fellow fossickers,

Just checking back in now, with info & a picture of the "Moonlight Gold" we found.

We arrived at Moonlight bridge late Sunday afternoon & realized bridge refurbishment work not been completed by late April . At present bridge has no wood on top of the steelwork, just planks for walking across. The thought of tenting here and hiking up everyday 4k's to the fossicking area carrying gear , had us looking for other options.
After walking across bridge we saw that a ford had been put back in after the last flood, smooth ford , abit muddy with solid base after ford exit back to main track.
Arrived at Anderson's Flat camping area & set up tents, moonchairs & got fire going.Went for walk to get some water, had a fossick & found gold there, we tried a few different locations for gold over the next few days, but we ended up going back to the first location.
Had lots of fun-happy to find some gold, saw Doc people up there both days, they were cool as.

Decided it was time to packup and leave Tuesday afternoon as HEAVY rain was forecasted.Ford may need repairing after this rain. We will be back again, next time with waders , not gumboots. :O)

Cheers, Jono
